Innovation in RG LAB – Immersive Social Space Stage 2

For this 2022 edition of the RG Lab, in collaboration with the FFT, the Digital Department wants to go further in the experiments carried out in immersive social spaces. Thus, the virtual studio Stade 2, available on VRChat, will be installed during the fortnight at the Roland-Garros stadium next to the Philippe-Chatrier track. This will be an opportunity for the Innovation Department and the editorial teams of the Sports Department of France Télévisions to try out new digital formats that will give life to this virtual world.

5G Broadcast Broadcast Tests

On the occasion of the 2022 Tournament, France Télévisions and its partners will test new distribution methods, both in Broadcast, multicast and unicast mode thanks to 5G.

These different distribution methods allow you to receive France Télévisions channels in all media with optimal reception quality regardless of the number of viewers connected to the same site.

Therefore, they are especially suitable for the retransmission of these sporting events that gather a growing audience. Different demonstrations will be presented on the terrace of the RG Lab.
