“He gendarmes came 4 times in 3 days, last weekend, ”says a resident of village of Caudannear the site of Valverta Noyal-Pontivy (Morbihan). The annoyances are repeated, the car accidents increase, the forty neighbors are desperate …
Cars in the ditch on a background of alcohol, a stab wound
This Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the end of the afternoon, it is 10 o’clock to talk and testify about the Calvary who suffer. Between neighborhood problems i daily road insecurity.
A year and a half ago, new residents arrived in three new homes: between 8 and 9 people in each house. They are workers from Eastern Europe, housed by their temporary employment agency and their boss, who owns them. They party, there’s a lot of alcohol, we even think there have been drugs. And they take the car, drive fast and end up in the ditch like last weekend. Last Sunday we were several at 10:30 p.m. Except that there, in one of the houses, someone was stabbed. We’re fed up!
Residents continue to pull cars out of the ditch, as in October 2021, when a car crashed into the wall of a stone house, crashing into the village’s bus shelter. “Anyway, the wall has receded 10 cm!” Says a neighbor, watching as the owner of the damaged house arrives at the meeting place this Thursday evening. He confirms, and says: canopy because of them! »
The collisions multiply as there are cars in the ditch: “another one at the hospital roundabout”; “a car on the road to Valvert after the crossroads” – leaving the neighbors speechless, constantly alerting the gendarmerie.
Mayor, owner, gendarmes informed, but nothing moves
These neighbors do not put all the tenants of these three houses in the same bag: “There is a partner, there is no problem, we talk to them. We also talked to our roommates who are fed up … We also talked about calming things down at first with those who do shit. But they don’t care, they only have 4 to 6 months left before the others arrive … “
The gendarmes, therefore, are alerted and move on to every problem, “but yesterday Wednesday evening they had to pick up what they had put in police custody on Sunday, because it was starting again …”
They reported these problems to the mayor of Noyal-Pontivy, who listened to them and helped them.
The mayor went to talk to them, then to his temporary agency, to the owner of the house. The owner, who is also the head, has just told the mayor that the gendarmes should be notified. But we will not do that!
It is a vicious circle, where everyone is aware, but no one puts an end to neighborhood safety issues. “We wanted to file a complaint, but the gendarmes refused because there were no injuries or deaths …”, breathes a neighbor.
Written to arrest the Prosecutor’s Office
The atmosphere is as heavy as the stormy air at the end of the afternoon in Caudan, a charming hamlet between traditional and contemporary houses, a stone’s throw from the Valvert site …
We have decided not to take the cars out of the ditch anymore, now the gendarmes will face each other alone. We have written a letter to arrest the Prosecutor’s Office, we still have some time before sending it, we will see how the summer goes …
Many walkers pass by to go to Valvert
Sometimes they find the calm of the town thanks to a happy change of tenants … But that does not last. And in addition to traffic accidents and nuisances, there is also the behavior of some: “The women of the village no longer pass in front of their house to get to Valvert, they insult them! »
The village is very popular with walkers, much less since construction on Le Valvert began in early May 2022, but the elderly, patients at the nearby Center Bretagne hospital and their families regularly come to catch their breath. fresh in Le Valvert.
Requests for road improvements, breaking the speed, have been requested by these residents from the municipality. Application pending at this time.
