5 new models available for less than € 300 / month

Even with government aid, electric cars are still quite expensive. But with the financing solutions that exist today, it is possible to afford an electric model for acceptable monthly payments. We have selected 5 models for you under 300 euros per month.

At the beginning of the year we offered you our selection of the 5 electric cars available for less than € 100 / month. They were not numerous, but some interesting models emerged, including the highly successful MG ZS EV or the queen of the city’s electric cars, the Renault Twingo E-Tech.

A little later, we increased the budget from 100 to 200 € / month, with more versatile models in the batch such as the Opel Mokka-e or the Peugeot e-208.

From now on, we will go to the even higher cut, that is, between 200 and 300 € / month. A pretty decent budget for a good electric car, enough to touch even some high-end models.

Volkswagen ID.3 from 279 € / month

A few weeks ago, the supply around the Volkswagen ID.3 fell sharply in France, mainly due to the shortage of components, but also the low sales volumes of the small battery. The large 77 kWh battery has also disappeared from the catalog for the time being.

At the time of writing, the Volkswagen ID.3 is only available with a 58 kWh battery which gives it an advertised range of 425 km. It is indexed to an electric motor with a power of 204 horsepower. The car is only available with the “Active” finish.

  • Contribution (bonus and conversion premium deducted): € 4,000
  • Funding duration: 37 month

Hyundai Ioniq 5 from 279 € / month

The first technician of the Kia EV6, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a successful electric car that we were able to get our hands on last year. It is a high-end model with the right equipment, but the Korean firm manages to offer its crossover below the threshold of 300 € / month.

The Ioniq 5 is available with two batteries, the smallest being 58 kWh and the largest 73 kWh. The model affected by the offer benefits from the smallest, but this model, however, claims a range of 384 km according to the WLTP cycle. The set is powered by a 170 horsepower engine.

Citroën ë-C4 from 289 € / month

The Citroën ë-C4 is the first technician of the Peugeot e-208 and other DS 3 Crossback E-Tense. The Citroën electric sedan highlights comfort and a rather unconventional style.

At Citroën, the choice is easy, with only one battery available advertised at 50 kWh. Its range is announced at around 340 km with a single load, but the relatively high consumption, which we were able to see during our test, does not allow to reach this value in mixed use. The car is powered by a 136 horsepower engine. The advantage of this offer over the others is that Citroën will not ask you for a contribution, this being absorbed by the ecological bonus and the conversion bonus.

  • Contribution (bonus and conversion premium deducted): 0 euros
  • Funding duration: 48 month
  • Mileage: 40.000 km (ie 10,000 km per year)
  • Monthly payments: 289 euros
  • Total cost (contribution + monthly payments): 13,872 euros
