On the agenda of Global Sports Week 2022: growth, responsibility and sports diplomacy

  • The 3rd edition of the annual forum, organized under the high sponsorship of Mr. Emmanuel Macron, President of the Republic, takes place from 9 to 13 May with three days of lectures at the Accor Arena in Paris.

Global Sports Week (GSW) is delighted to be able to share with you the program of its 2022 forum, built around the theme “Better vs. Great: How to Reconcile Growth and Responsibility in the Sports Industry”. Discussions will focus on how to reconcile the search for new audiences, new income and growth with a sustainable and socially responsible future for sport.

As part of its partnership with the French government, GSW 2022 will also serve as a launch pad for the new international coordination of French sport, the French Sport Touch, as France seeks to take advantage of major sporting events that reach the territory, including Rugby. 2023 French World Cup and 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.

This year, more than 2,000 participants from 98 countries are expected at the GSWParis in Paris. A total of 60 partners, including 10 world sports governing bodies, have contributed to the development of the event’s editorial line, which offers its stakeholders a unique platform to present their innovation and impact projects.

  • Racing Club de Toulon (May 11, 8.30 am – Media breakfast in the level 4 workshop area)

GSW @LA, presented by 17 Sport and the LA84 Foundation

  • A one-day GSW @ Los Angeles event is being held at the LA84 Foundation headquarters, which will be broadcast live to GSWParis delegates at the Accor Arena in Paris and connected online worldwide, via the digital platform of the event.
  • The Mayor of Los Angeles, Eric Garcetti, will give an opening speech at the event, during a live broadcast from Paris.

Springboard Invest Finals

  • 14 startups have been selected during the qualifying rounds organized in 7 different countries, in order to participate in the largest European event for sports investors and will have the opportunity to present their projects to investors from around the world on 11 May.

Focused on the European sports model

A special session organized by the French National Olympic Committee and the European Commission, as part of the French Presidency of the European Union in 2022

Evenings and parties, included

  • An opening cocktail at the Hôtel de Ville in Paris, presented by Paris City Council on 9 May
  • An international VIP reception organized in collaboration with the French government as part of its French Sport Touch initiative on May 10

GSW Run for Ukraine

  • Global Sports Week is organizing a charity fundraising race for Ukraine, in collaboration with the NGO CARE and Sport Heroes, the connected sports community.
  • Ukrainian sports tennis player and top star Elina Svitolina will be present at GSWParis 2022.
