Flying Spur Hybrid is the most efficient Bentley ever produced – 4Legend.com – AudiPassion.com

The new Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid, the second largest electrified passenger car in the Bentley model range, has been certified as the most efficient and economical Bentley to date. With WLTP certification and existing type approval, the Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid records an average CO2 emission of just 75 g / km.

The most efficient model
The introduction of the Flying Spur Hybrid establishes a line of Bentley hybrids for the first time, underscoring Bentley’s commitment to becoming a state-of-the-art carbon-neutral automaker and a world leader in luxury sustainable mobility. Once certified, the Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid is now available to order in the UK and Europe, with other markets coming soon. In 2024, the full range of models will be available with a hybrid option, before the introduction of the first Bentley Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) in 2025 and the company will have a portfolio of all-electric models in 2024. 2030.

Flying Spur proves that hybridization compromises neither luxury nor performance. With an imperceptible combination of internal combustion engine and electric motor, a refined serenity is offered whatever the mode or style of driving.

The combination of a highly efficient motor and an advanced electric motor offers the same flexibility and functionality as the W12 and V8 engines offered today, for a responsive, engaging and extremely refined experience.

The new powertrain combines a 2.9-liter V6 petrol engine with an advanced electric motor, offering a total of 544 hp and 750 Nm of torque, 95 hp more than the Bentayga Hybrid. The new Flying Spur becomes the most efficient Bentley to date, capable of covering over 800km with a full tank.

With great power reserves, superior torque and quick throttle response, the latest hybrid model leaves little room for the Flying Spur V8 in acceleration, going from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.3 seconds. The new powertrain offers a significant reduction in fuel consumption while maintaining the true Bentley character of refined and effortless performance.

The electric motor runs on a 18.0 kWh lithium-ion battery (usable) and can be 100% recharged in just two and a half hours (region specific). Power electronics converts the stored energy of the high voltage battery to power the electric motor or complements the vehicle’s existing 12 V electrical infrastructure.

Beautiful materials and contemporary design
The interior of the Flying Spur shows Bentley’s experience in creating a modern, luxurious and unparalleled cabin in innovation. With the wide range of specifications, customers can choose from a selection of fifteen skin colors (five standard and ten optional) and eight different veneers to create an individual specification. The seams and badges can also be specified in solid or contrasting colors, along with the option of contrasting pipes on the seat covers, reminiscent of the original Flying Spur of the 1950s.

Building on the company’s heritage, Bentley’s craftsmanship also continues to evolve, offering contemporary features such as 3D leather door panels and diamond padding on the seats (included in the driving instructions in the specifications).

Customers can also specify their vehicle from the additional expanded paint range of more than 60 exterior colors, including Mulliner and Personal Commission. The black line specification offers a contemporary alternative to outdoor lighting, including a dark version of the optional illuminated electric Flying B.
With dealers now able to receive orders from customers, the launch of the Flying Spur Hybrid is just one of Bentley’s next steps on its Beyond100 path to becoming the world’s most sustainable luxury car brand.
